I wanted to get away so I went to England.
I was told that the Yorkshire Cottages were really a wonderful place to visit while in England, so I scheduled a visit there. There are also Hotels Yorkshire style, and little B&b Yorkshire places you can stay as well. I had a wonderful time even though it is very cold in England in the winter. Thankfully, the little B&b Yorkshire I was staying at always had a fire burning in the fireplace, keeping the room toasty warm, and the Yorkshire Cottages had central heating systems. The Hotels Yorkshire were huge buildings that sometimes got drafty during the night, but altogether it was no an unpleasant experience. I ventured away from Yorkshire after a few days and went back to London. London is a wonderful place filled with history, subways and adorable taxis, but I missed the little B&b Yorkshire I had stayed at. I tried to forget the Yorkshire Cottages by indulging myself in tours of British castles and attempting to catch a glimpse of the royal family, but it was no use. I could not get Yorkshire out of my head. So ten days later, I took a bus back to my beloved Yorkshire, back to the Hotels Yorkshire and the B&b Yorkshire, where I had spent many a pleasant day roasting next to the fire with a newspaper, watching little boys sled down hills and get into snowball fights. Even when it came time to return to America, I loathed to leave Yorkshire – it will always be in my heart.
