I am a full-time worker at a job that requires an unfortunate amount of sitting, and recently I had been noticing that my lower back was giving me problems. First, I attributed the problem to the mattress I was sleeping on, so I started sleeping with a pillow to support my lumbar. For some reason that just didn’t seem to help. My back felt great in the morning, but by the afternoon, my back felt like someone was poking needles into it.
After a while of thinking the pillow just wasn’t enough, I did begin to notice that my back did not hurt until after I would be sitting in my desk chair at work for a long time. My executive office chair was sort of old, so it was not like one of the the new kind of swivel chair, but I never thought that I needed a new executive office chair. Then I realized that the problem wasn’t with my mattress but the lack of lower back support in the office furniture at work. I started my hunt for a new desk chair shortly after I came to that conclusion, and I was astonished at the number of desk chair types in the magazines that I was looking at. Everything from regular and new swivel chair types to the high-end executive office chair categories seen in the offices of bank presidents and college heads. However, I was looking for a very specific type of chair: comfy for sitting and good back support in my executive office chair.
After much deliberation, I ended up finding a chair that suited my particular needs for a new swivel chair. I ordered my new executive office and after I received it my back pain as all but disappeared. I’m not as tired in the evening when I go home, and I’m just a more cheerful person when I’m at work thanks to my new swivel chair.
